]]> Turnitin Incident – RESOLVED https://canvaskb.cirtunf.org/outage/turnitin-incident/ Thu, 05 Dec 2019 13:28:11 +0000 https://canvaskb.cirtunf.org/?p=1277 Currently, users who access Turnitin may not receive Similarity Reports. Turnitin believes they have identified the problem and are taking the necessary steps to restore functionality as soon as possible.

December 5th, 2019 8:33 a.m.: Turnitin is implementing a fix for this issue, which should restore all functionality.

December 5th, 2019 10:27 a.m.: Turnitin has fully implemented a fix, and all functionality has been restored.

]]> Problem with Students Viewing TurnItIn Originality Report in Canvas, 7-22-19 RESOLVED https://canvaskb.cirtunf.org/issue/problem-with-students-viewing-turnitin-originality-report-in-canvas-7-22-19/ Tue, 23 Jul 2019 17:16:29 +0000 https://canvaskb.cirtunf.org/?p=1240 There is currently an issue with Turnitin where it does not show the similarity report to students until a grade is entered for the assignment, even if the setting is set to show the report  immediately. The issue has been reported to the vendor and this post will be updated when the issue is resolved.

UPDATE: An ETA hasn’t yet been determined, but both Turnitin and Instructure engineers are working on a fix for this issue.

UPDATE 7/30: A fix for this behavior is being reviewed by the Instructure QA Team.

RESOLVED 8/1: A fix for the post policies has been implemented.

]]> Turnitin Plagiarism Framework Outage – Resolved https://canvaskb.cirtunf.org/outage/turnitin-plagiarism-framework-outage/ Wed, 03 Jul 2019 13:44:23 +0000 https://canvaskb.cirtunf.org/?p=1217 The Turnitin Plagiarism Framework is currently unavailable. When attempting to create a Turnitin assignment, or attempting to navigate to a Similarity Report, users will see an error reading “Sorry, we could not process your request. API product inactive or expired.” However, Similarity scores are still visible in Speedgrader and the grade book.

We are currently working on a resolution to this issue, and will provide an update as soon as we know more.

Update – The issue with the Plagiarism Framework has now been resolved, and it is functioning properly.
