Some Users Experiencing Degraded Performance in Canvas https://canvaskb.cirtunf.org/status/some-users-experiencing-limited-canvas-access-in-chrome/ Tue, 07 Dec 2021 15:52:23 +0000 https://canvaskb.cirtunf.org/?p=1705 UPDATE 7:19pm | Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced a resolution to their earlier outage, and we have seen a decrease in the Canvas-related error messages and timeouts. We will continue to monitor throughout the evening. Regular status updates can be found on Instructure’s status page (https://status.instructure.com/) as well as the AWS status page (https://status.aws.amazon.com/).

UPDATE 4:36pm | Amazon Web Services (AWS) is currently experiencing an outage that is impacting some Honorlock users, services, and sub-service organizations. Specifically, exam takers taking exams within the Canvas LMS are experiencing error messages and timeouts when attempting to navigate through or starting their exams. Some students are seeing success by restarting their exam. Additionally, LockDown Browser and RPNow applications are also being impacted. Regular status updates can be found on Instructure’s status page (https://status.instructure.com/) as well as the AWS status page (https://status.aws.amazon.com/).

UPDATE 11:17am | Instructure has reported that some users may be receiving page errors or general slowness when attempting to access Canvas. Status updates can be viewed at status.instructure.com

Some users are unable to access some features in Canvas, such as Grades and Inbox, through the Google Chrome web browser. Instructure support is aware and working to resolve the issue. Affected users should contact CIRT Lab at cirtlab@unf.edu for additional assistance.

Partial Outage https://canvaskb.cirtunf.org/status/partial-outage/ Tue, 03 Aug 2021 20:36:59 +0000 https://canvaskb.cirtunf.org/?p=1668 4:52pm: Instructure’s status page is reporting Canvas as operational in all areas. Quote, “A fix has been implemented and we are monitoring the results.”

4:36pm: Some users are reporting error messages related to AJAX in Canvas, as well as slow loading times. Instructure’s status page is reporting a partial outage. CIRT & ITS are aware of the issue and are working with Instructure to resolve. Watch this space for updates.
