Pearson has a planned maintenance window for October 24th, 2020 between 1 am and 9 am EST for the following products:

XL-based MyLabs (math, business, English, health science, and careers & nursing), Pegasus-based MyLabs (World languages, IT, communication, political science), , Mastering, Revel, Enhanced Revel, MyLabsPlus, Learning Catalytics/ Live Response, Pearson Writer, Writing Solutions, Strategic Reader, and MediaShare.
MyEnglishLab and Pearson English Portal

Students and Instructors will be unable to access their courses during the entire maintenance window. Pearson will post a message 72 hours before the maintenance on the sign-on pages for my lab and mastering, and a splash page about the maintenance work will show during that time.

Canvas Maintenance Event Sept. 18

On Sept. 18 at 3:40 am, Canvas will be undergoing a mandatory database update which will last up to 10 minutes. They expect less than 5 minutes of that will impact Canvas’s availability to users.

Google Apps LTI Maintenance Event August 29th

Instructure is updating the database capacity for the Google Apps LTI on August 29th at 1 am. The maintenance will last for an hour, and there may be downtime for the integration of up to 15 minutes at the end of the maintenance window.

Office 365 LTI Maintenance in Canvas July 31st

The Office 365 LTI will be receiving maintenance on July 31st at 1:30 am that will last up to 30 minutes. The tool may be inaccessible for the duration of this maintenance.

SCORM Issues in Canvas [RESOLVED]

The SCORM integration with Canvas is currently having issues with reporting grades correctly if the user is using any of the following browsers:

v 27 Firefox Mobile browser
v 13.1 Safari desktop
Canvas Student App
v 84 Chrome Desktop
v 84 Chrome Mobile Browser

Taking an assignment in any of those browsers will return a grade of 0 regardless of the score achieved in the SCORM assignment.

The following browsers report correctly:

Safari Mobile Browser
Firefox Desktop Browser

Instructure is currently aware of the issue, and are working on implementing a fix. We will update this post as we get more information.

Update 10/2/2020: Instructure will be performing an upgrade to the SCORM LTI on October 10th, 2020 starting at 3 am EST, which will last up to 6 hours. Users may be unable to access the tool for the duration of the maintenance.

Resolution 10/10/2020: The SCORM LTI was updated, and should now function across all browsers.

Turnitin Scheduled Maintenance August 1st, 2020

Canvas Maintenance 7/22/2020

There will be a brief maintenance event on Canvas on July 22nd. It will last up to 30 minutes and will occur at 1 a.m. You may not be able to access Canvas for up to 15 minutes while this event is underway.

Google and Office 365 Integration Maintenance May 16th

On May 16th Instructure will be upgrading the capacity of the databases for the Google and Office 365 integrations. The maintenance will start at 3 a.m. and will last up to two hours. Users will be unable to access the integrations for the duration of this maintenance.

At 11:00AM Monday, July 16th Canvas Support announced a maintenance they must conduct on July 30th @12:00AM. Their original message follows.

Scheduled Attendance (Roll Call) maintenance on 7/30/2018 at 9:00 PM PST (12:00 AM EST)

Hi Admins—

We’ll be performing maintenance on the Attendance (Roll Call) tool in Canvas on Monday, July 30th starting at 9:00 PM PST / 12:00 AM EST. Your users will not be able to access the Attendance interface to take new attendance or generate attendance reports for up to an hour during this maintenance event.
