Students and Instructors will be unable to access their courses during the entire maintenance window. Pearson will post a message 72 hours before the maintenance on the sign-on pages for my lab and mastering, and a splash page about the maintenance work will show during that time.

]]> Canvas Maintenance Event Sept. 18 https://canvaskb.cirtunf.org/maintenance/canvas-maintenance-event-sept-18/ Fri, 11 Sep 2020 13:02:44 +0000 https://canvaskb.cirtunf.org/?p=1474 On Sept. 18 at 3:40 am, Canvas will be undergoing a mandatory database update which will last up to 10 minutes. They expect less than 5 minutes of that will impact Canvas’s availability to users.

]]> Google Apps LTI Maintenance Event August 29th https://canvaskb.cirtunf.org/maintenance/google-apps-lti-maintenance-event-august-29th/ Fri, 28 Aug 2020 16:17:56 +0000 https://canvaskb.cirtunf.org/?p=1464 Instructure is updating the database capacity for the Google Apps LTI on August 29th at 1 am. The maintenance will last for an hour, and there may be downtime for the integration of up to 15 minutes at the end of the maintenance window.

]]> Data Loss in Canvas for New Analytics Weekly Online Activity View https://canvaskb.cirtunf.org/issue/data-loss-in-canvas-for-new-analytics-weekly-online-activity-view/ Fri, 28 Aug 2020 12:50:18 +0000 https://canvaskb.cirtunf.org/?p=1460 Due to an unprecedented volume of requests coming to Canvas application servers, Instructure’s data sharing process has experienced some data loss on 8/24, 8/25, and 8/26. They are estimating only a 20% loss, and are still able to deliver partial request data for those dates. Instructure does not have a way to restore the lost data, but is working on restoring the data pipeline.
