Using Office365 for Narrated PowerPoints

The Office 365 integration in Canvas is a useful tool that allows instructors to easily share their narrated PowerPoints from OneDrive with their students.

While in the Rich Editor mode, click on the icon that looks like a V next to the YouTube icon, then select Office 365. You will be prompted for your organization email address, which will then lead to a UNF login page where you will provide your n# and password. Once you’re logged in, your files on your OneDrive account will show up, then you would select the file you want to add. Once you select the file, a link to that file will then show up on the content page.

Students will also be prompted to log in to their organization email (this would be their UNF account) to be able to view the content.

You can also add a link to the Narrated PowerPoint directly in the Modules as an external tool module item. To do this you will need to click on the plus sign for the module you want the content added to, change the type to external tool, and then select Office 365. You will be prompted for your organization email address, which will then lead to a UNF login page where you will provide your n# and password. Once you’re logged in, your files on your OneDrive account will show up, then you would select the file you want to add.
